Personality Factor Model

The Four Dimensions of Behavior

Composition and Structure of the Quadrant Model

We believe that our perception of people and events is proper and that our reaction to it is adequate. It is difficult for many people to accept the point of view of others. Even if they tend to believe, the other person is mistaken.

The letters D, I, S and G stand for the four basic dimensions of behavior. Each dimension reflects a different perception and reaction:

l  Dominant
People who usually consider their environment as stressful and react with certain behaviors.

l  Influencing
People who consider their environment as mostly pleasant (not stressful) and react with certain behaviors.

l  Steady
People who consider their environment as mostly pleasant (not stressful) and respond with a restraint behavior.

l  Cautious
People who usually consider their environment as stressful and respond with a restraint behavior.

Naturally, this model is a simplification. Most of the times, more than one dimension apply to a person. The individual combination of factors is taken into account in the persolog personality model and is a central element of the courses and certifications.
